Meet the Artist:

I’m Olivia, a fourth-generation Arizonan with a deep love and appreciation for my home state. I create hand-dyed pieces using organic materials and natural dyes that reflect the colors and textures of Arizona’s unique seasons. My work allows me to express my creativity while being mindful of sustainability. I strive to make as many of my products as possible compostable.

My journey into the world of natural fabrics and dyes began during my studies in fashion design. I learned about the environmental impacts of the fashion industry as well as the benefits of natural fibers. As a result, I began to incorporate pieces created by sustainable, slow-fashion businesses into my closet over the years.

I spent a lot of time outdoors hiking, kayaking, off-roading, swimming in creeks, and exploring until I began to face health challenges. Once I was diagnosed with endometriosis, I had to step back from these activities and find a new way to remain connected to the outdoors.

Natural dyeing allowed me to combine my background in fashion design with my love for the natural world. What began as a creative outlet in 2021 slowly became a small business. I now work out of my home studio, which started as a spare-bedroom-turned-office and has since grown into a backyard garden, outdoor kitchen, and dye work space.

This endeavor means a lot to me, as it enables me to support my well-being with a chronic illness while contributing to a more sustainable future.
